Anandashram High School

Anandashram High School is situated in the historically significant town of Ullal, 18 kilometers away from Mangaluru’s city center. The legendary Rani Abbaka Chowta ruled this town in the mid-sixteenth century. 

The Saraswat Education Society acquired 6.5 acres of land in Kotekar, just 4.5 km. from Ullal to construct the High School set against the backdrop of this old-world charm, and later a Pre-University College, which now cater to the educational needs of the semi-urban and rural population from the surrounding villages. 

The Anandashram High School began its journey in 1946 as a branch of Ganapathy High School, and crossed the milestone of becoming a full-fledged High School in 1956 after the establishment of two shed-turned-classrooms. It added a school hall in 1971, invested in substantial modernization in 1972 and stands tall today as a fully functional recognized institution.
